An ex expatriate becomes expatriated again and writes about it. Hopefully this time it's permanent.

Jimi Hendrix In Stockholm '69
It's hard to find anyone who doesn't like Jimi Hendrix. So in the spirit of Summer 2007 , here is a clip of Jimi playing Voodoo Chile live in Stockholm in 1969.
Not his best work but hey it's summer and thus time to rock.

I think I already said on P.A. at some point that my fave Jimi song is this anti-war one, live...Machine Gun, that's it. I actually remembered the name. I think it's called Machine Gun. Some live version of that.
However I must inform you that I am on a huge Sonic Youth trip right now bigger than EVER before. I've got all their early albums now. I'm really flipping out. They were so spooky and goth. Oh my god. Someone compared their first EP in 1981 to Factory Records and I can actually see that!
Also I found out that at the end of July A BOOK IS COMING OUT THAT IS EXCLUSIVELY ABOUT MARTIN HANNETT. WRITTEN SUPPOSEDLY BY HIS BEST FRIEND. I AM SO EXCITED I COULD DIE. I'm so sad I still don't have 24 Hour Party People on DVD. I think McC was going to give me it as a present once, but he said something went wrong and I felt he only said that to hurt my feelings.
Oh well.
Yes, let's watch Jimi in Stockholm now. Peel loved him, too. - Marky
